USDU, the first USD stablecoin registered in the UAE 💵

Abu Dhabi launches the first USD stablecoin registered in the UAE.

Universal Digital, based in Abu Dhabi, launched USDU.

It is the first USD-backed stablecoin registered by the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates.

The registration was completed under the central bank’s Payment Token Services Regulation.

In simple terms: USDU is a digital currency pegged to the dollar and recognized under that regulatory framework in the country.
